It was weird and choppy in Monterey today too. Not windy but definitely weird.

When you go out crabbing but only catch 2 keepers... but as a consolation prize you also catch 2 chonky Lings... I mean... that is absolutely something to be thankful for IMO.

Traditions are good...my son and I always try to go steelhead fishing on Christmas day... just him and I...sooo much fun

Thanks for posting, its ben my my tradition to watch for 3 years now. I have found over the years that when the new bait fad is all that the fish are offered they will turn off, that's when you switch to a bait they haven't seen for years. The bite picks back up most of the time.

Hey, Adam, I believe putting a little turkey on your swim bait actually helps, especially when fishing for lingcod. I caught one while I was on a Bluefin trip, and it was close to the size of one you caught. Well, here's the kicker: when it hit the deck, it spit out two Bluefin hearts. The moral of the story is that those fish are greedy. A little extra bait won't hurt.

I think adding a little mashed potatoes and gravy next year will bring the crab running. 😂

Die Hard Fishing, Happy Thanksgiving, Adam. What a way to close down lingcod season, lunker catch👍. Maybe the reason why there isn't many dungeness crab is because the fisherman before you used turkey for bait also and the crab are all turkeyed out😊. Two nice size lingcod and two crab is better than a turkey, I think. There was a Thanksgiving, years back, that our family celebrated with dungeness crab feast. We were talking about it when we were eating Thanksgiving dinner today. Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay afloat.

I was there in my kayak that Wednesday and got a crab limit but the weather sucked for the first couple hours. I didn't get any Ling though!

I do this every year I buy Turkey's 50% off day after at my local grocery store, And use it as bait for crab. Nice video as always😊😊😊

I watch alot of car restoration with the business model 'upgrade and trade' and I've not seen it better executed than Adam does with upgrading and trading a dry old cheap turkey for a juicy expensive crab 🤣
